Warner Brothers' Cartoons

Animation started in the early years of film, between 1900 and 1906. Disney was in production in the 1920s (Steamboat Willie, Disney's breakout film was released in 1928).
Warner Brothers started producing cartoons in the 1930s. Warner animators had much more freedom than Disney animators. From the mid 1930s until 1969, they created some of the best known cartoon characters including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Wile E. Coyote, and the Road Runner.
