US Model of Race

A "person on the street" model of race:

There are a fixed number of human races and everyone is a member of one of them.

A race is a bundle of traits that is consistantly found together.

Races spring from geographic homelands.

Members of the same race are more closely related to one another (and have more in common with each other) than members of different races.
