addition to producing humans and societies must also reproduce: that is, they
must assure their continuation in time.
They do this in two ways: economic and social.
Economic reproduction: the owners of property must pay the
workers a sufficient amount to produce new workers. This includes food,
shelter, and appropriate levels of education.
