Capitalist Peasantries
Creating
capitalist peasantries involves giving landlords full possession of their lands (enclosure).
This means the denial of usufruct rights to peasantry.
Peasants pushed on to marginal land while prime land is now operated for financial rather than social goals.
Peasants on marginal land partially support themselves but must
supplement their production with wage labor on larger plantations.
Capitalist landowners can pay less than the reproduction cost of labor (since peasants are partially self supporting).
