Bead Movement

When invitation is announced headman of invited village calls for bead contribution.  All contribute to a single pile of beads.

After much feasting guest headman divides beads into piles of 100.

Hosts determine how much to give for 100 beads (no haggling with guests).

Host families give goods, receive beads. Headman distributes goods to guests without regard for bead contribution.

Headman takes the remainder that can not be evenly distributed.
