Other Crusades

2nd Crusade is "an abyss so deep that I must call him blessed who is not scandalized thereby."

3rd Crusade: Frederick Barbarossa, Philip Augustus, Richard I.  Freddy dies in Europe, Phil fights with Rick and takes his army and goes home.  Rick fails to take Jerusalem, is captured and held hostage in Germany and ransomed for the original king's fortune.

4th Crusade: Organized by Innocent III, never reaches Palestine but conquers first Zara (a vassal state of Innocent III), then Constantinople.  Baldwin IX of Flanders becomes Holy Roman Emperor.  City sacked and wealth brought home.
