Education is not the Answer
Education is a good thing, but anthropology tells us that it is rarely the answer, and it is certainly not the answer to any of the problems just described.
People are generally fairly good at assessing their own lives and prospects. They do not have lots of kids or pollute, or engage in violence because they know no better. They usually do these things because they are rational responses to their conditions. People are more likely to be uneducated because they are poor than poor because they are uneducated!
Generating wealth is the answer
Policies that improve people's health and wealth, improve other aspects of their lives and their nations' lives as well.
